Greetings and welcome to the Website for the Iona College chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of
America. This site has been created not only as a resource for chapter members, but also to showcase the
events, accomplishments and overall hard work of our chapter.
The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) strives to give students “hands on” experience in the
area of communications and public relations, to supplement in-class learning. It’s our hope that these
experiences will help students make the connection between what they’ve learned in the classroom and how it
might work in real life.
It’s my goal this year to provide plenty of “hands on” experiences through promoting on campus events,
lectures, agency tours, pitching local media and writing news releases. In addition to this, I would like to
provide our members with a good atmosphere where things can be accomplished while also having fun. After all,
we are college students!
