Kiera is currently a senior at Iona College. She is majoring in Mass Communications with a
concentration in Public Relations. Kiera also has a minor in French. This is her first year
with the PRSSA and she had the great opportunity of becoming the Secretary for the Iona Chapter
in her first year!
Since Kiera started at Iona she has made the Dean’s List every year and strives to make it
once again in her senior year. As a sophomore, Kiera was inducted into the National Residence
Hall Honorary Society, which recognizes the top 1% of leaders on campus. As a junior, she
served as a peer mentor with the Scope Program on campus. She was also inducted into the Mass
Communications Honor Society in her junior year as well. In November Kiera looks forward to
traveling with the PRSSA to San Francisco for the National Convention.
For the past three years Kiera has worked in the corporate office of the Estee Lauder
Companies in New York City. This has given her great experience in the work force and was a
major factor in determining Public Relations as her major. Kiera had the opportunity to work
in both MAC and Clinique PR as a move around temp. This gave her great exposure to the field
of Mass Communications and influenced her love for PR.
After college, Kiera plans to pursue an MBA in International Business or Marketing. She
would also love to secure a full-time position with the Estee Lauder Companies. If this does
not happen, she would like to work in entertainment PR. Nevertheless, she wants to be happy in
whatever she is doing!
Kiera enjoys hanging out with her closest friends and family. She also loves going to the
gym, drawing, traveling, learning new languages and she is a major moviegoer!
